On Monday 16th June, El Limonar International School Villamartín had the privilege of hosting a new edition of Stay Healthy, the educational programme promoted by Fundación Quirónsalud. This visit marked the launch of “Temática 0”, a brand-new project developed by the Stay Healthy team, making our school the first to experience it first-hand.

The day brought together members of the programme’s national team, along with dedicated healthcare professionals from Quirónsalud Torrevieja, all committed to encouraging healthy habits among young people.

The event began with a welcome from our Headteacher, Jon Wayth, and Teresa Álvarez Perdices, General Manager of Fundación Quirónsalud, who emphasised the importance of integrating health and wellbeing into education from an early age. The visit was coordinated on behalf of the school by Marta Aldaz, our Wellbeing Lead. Throughout the morning, our pupils engaged in a series of hands-on, dynamic workshops focused on self-care and prevention.

Topics included basic first aid, personal hygiene, oral health and daily planning, posture and ergonomics, and understanding the immune system and how to strengthen it through healthy eating, proper rest and physical activity. Each session combined scientific rigour with interactive, age-appropriate methods designed to connect meaningfully with the pupils.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire Stay Healthy team — both the national coordinators and the volunteer healthcare professionals — for their dedication, expertise and enthusiasm. Their visit not only enriched our students’ knowledge, but also offered them relatable and inspiring role models.

At ELIS Villamartín, we are proud to offer a holistic education that goes beyond academics, placing our students’ physical, mental and emotional wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

💚 Thank you for helping us educate for a healthier, more conscious and fulfilling life.
