On Thursday, 13th February, ELIS Villamartín held its traditional University Fair, a key event in the academic and career guidance of our Secondary and Sixth Form students. More than 20 prestigious international universities from Europe and the United States, as well as the Armed Forces, took part in this event, providing students with the opportunity to explore first-hand the wide range of academic and professional options available to them.

During the fair, attendees had the chance to visit various information stands, interact with university representatives, and clarify any questions regarding entry requirements, academic programmes, and career prospects. In addition to university options, other educational pathways were highlighted. A dedicated session on Formación Profesional was held, outlining the numerous educational and career opportunities within this pathway and offering a comprehensive perspective on its growing significance in the job market.

As part of the event, members of the Armed Forces delivered talks, sharing their professional experiences and explaining the different career opportunities within the military. Former students also joined us, offering insights into their transition to university life and their professional development.

This year, the fair received special media coverage from Cadena SER, which broadcast its programme Hoy por Hoy Vega Baja live from our premises. Teachers, parents and students were invited to take part in the broadcast, sharing their experiences and enriching the day’s discussions.

Additionally, we were delighted to welcome all Year 12 students from our sister school, ELIS Murcia, who attended the fair and took full advantage of the guidance and information provided by the participating institutions.

With this initiative, ELIS Villamartín reaffirms its commitment to high-quality education and academic guidance, equipping students with essential tools to make well-informed decisions about their future.
